"Strong people stand up for themselves,

but stronger people stand up for others."

~ Suzy Kassem

Susan is passionate about storytelling that makes a difference in others lives. She built her career in New York at agencies like Ogilvy & Mather, R/GA, and Strawberry Frog.  She then spent a few years at Havas Worldwide, helping them integrate and shape traditional, digital, and social media for households brands including Clearasil, Durex, and Volvo.

As executive creative director at the boutique shop Seiden Advertising, she built a digital advertising team from scratch, turning it into a Clio award-winning creative powerhouse for the agency's clients.

Since moving to Austin in 2015, Susan has worked at Razorfish, GSD&M, Dell Blue, and led the creative department at EnviroMedia – the first advertising agency devoted to public health and the environment. She prefers to use her experience and powers of persuasion for good whenever possible on brands and campaigns that help others.

In 2020, Susan wrote, directed and produced the short documentary, “Baby Hers” — a heart-wrenching film on factory farming that explores the innate love and universal bond between all mothers and their children, and questions whether even the best queso in Texas is enough of a reason to tear the two apart. The film won Best Documentary at The Big Apple Film Festival and a Remi Award at WorldFest-Houston International Film & Video Festival.

In an attempt to keep her writing skills sharp and life in balance, Susan’s personal essay writing has been featured on Huffington Post and Thrive Global. She’s also volunteered as a creative writing mentor at the Helping Hand Home, and takes advantage of Austin's active lifestyle as much as possible: practicing yoga, stand-up paddle boarding and, yes – this Yankee loves to two-step.

Susan has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Ohio State University. Go Bucks!
